Noisy cycles

A good overall machine and value for money.

THe hose for emptying the dishwasher THe hose for emptying is much shorter than the last one and we have had to stretch it to fit the soil pipe connection. It bubbles back sometimes and we have a leak on the floor.

The main problem with this model is the noise during running time. considering diesel cars are nearly as quiet as petrol models I would expect a modern day dishwasher to be a lot quieter than a model that was probably 8-10 years older. Our old dishwasher was a lot quieter than this model. The layout inside is a bit cramped

Good Value Does a good job.

Fair choice of cycles. Good value for money. Environmentally-friendly. Ok if you're just washing place settings from a meal.

Can't pack large saucepans or mixing bowls easily, as none of the lower racking falls flat. Glasses fall over as they are not held in place properly by vertical plastic walls; resulting in possible breakages. The top racking sections for cups/glasses are not segregated by vertical plastic, so you have to balance cups against cups etc. The bottom shelf cannot be fully-packed with dirty plates as the separators are so close together that plates don't always get washed properly; this makes it not so environmentally-friendly. There is a design fault in that when you push the bottom shelf into the dishwasher any objects placed in the outer separators push into the rubber door seal, so you have to hold them forward or risk future damage to the seal.

Good dish washer - never had to put anything in twice. Have put in all my ornaments - some very very disgustingly greasy items and they SPARKLE.

Washing performance

This model replaced my old indesit dishwasher which i had for 12 years. The performance of this machine is not nearly as good as my old one.

Excellent 25 minute rapid wash, not too noisy and is perfect for a family of 4.

It is excellent.

It uses the full 60mm width of fit in units so you have to be careful that it fits in. Our only concern is that indesit does not have a good long term reputation and we wonder whether the excellent performance so far will continue. I think the sales info should draw attention to the fact it is only a cold water fill.

Good space for stacking, I can fit more in so need to use it less - once or twice a week

It usually washes the dishes! I bought this model to replace my old Indesit dishwasher, which was excellent and very user friendly.

It takes a long time to get started. I've often gone to bed thinking that the dishwaher is working only to get up and find that nothing has happened. There are no salt and rinse aid indicator lights.

Good cleaning, No sticking out Dials, basic programmes we have 5 people living here and enough programmes to use.

overall size doesn't fit it as bits stick out each side of door, small inside, could be a bit bigger, everything tight to fit in.

Quiet and efficient and a good size

Easy to use and load. I particularly like the cutlery basket, which separates the cutlery and means for example spoons don't get stuck together and hence are washed properly.

It washes the dishes well, has never left dishes dirty (yet)not even pans and ovenware.

The 'quick' cycle actually takes longer than the regular cycle (!?) Part of the cutlery basket bent/shrunk (looks like the heat) after 4 uses, then it snapped. It's not very quiet, (although not exactly noisy).

An excellent selection of programmes for different levels of soiling. The "Rapid 25" is particularly useful as it cleans quite soiled dishes in only 25 minutes.

door lifts up by itself unless the bottom basket is pulled out and loaded with something fairly heavy, or the basket is also lifted. Top basket tends to get snagged on the detergent dispenser

The dish racks do not cater for deep dishes and are flimsy. The door does not stay open.

Only the number 1 cycle really works, even for 'normal' loads. It doesn't dry dishes well and anything plastic comes out dripping wet. Drawers aren't well designed, things slip around and cups/glasses tip over.

It might just be mine but for the first 10mins of each cycle there is a very loud noise, kind of like a grinding noise. We had an engineer out to replace a panel damaged in transit and i asked him to look at it. Unfortunately i wasn't there and he phoned to say that it was sorted. It isn't!! So i guess that it maybe is meant to make this noise. If anyone can let me know if theirs does, i would be very grateful.
