It records quick a lot onto its HD, and you can set it to record a whole series so you don't miss a single program!!

It has the slowest responses ever... you press a button and it doesn't respond, so you give it a few seconds and press the button again... two minutes later it reacts to every button you've pressed and goes a bit crazy!! Also, when using the 'guide' you have to scroll one by one and when you've lots of channels and a slow reacting DVD recorder it can take some time!!

Slow response to remote control

good picture and sound quality. Easy to rename programmes. Easy to record using the guide menu. Just hit on the programme you want to record and press the red button. Done. Looks nice. Easy to use remote contrrol.

you have to turn on live time tv and can only watch programmes from that point. some dvdhdd recorders have a bigger time scale buffer. this one has a max of 2 hours. When pausing hdd playback and need to pause programme you only get about 2 mins before it reverts back to the start of whatever you are watching. You can mark the spot and it will return to the point. needs getting used to.

Great machine - does exactly what it says it can. Samsung products are good and I have many and will certainly be buying more.

Remote is a little slow in response, but not really an issue.

Poor instruction manual. Features difficult to use, particularly recording modes. Recording functions complex and limited in comparison to other makes. Unit has to be switched off in order to use Timer Mode. This makes it difficult to watch previous recordings whilst simulateously recording.

As a Senior Citizen I find most modern electrical equipment a liitle difficult to master but I am winning!! ( I think)

The screen (on the recorder,not the TV) a little difficult to see - could be larger. Also the instruction book could be larger which would enable bigger print and larger diagrams !!

The television guide can take a while to load and stops responding sometimes, perhaps a software glitch?

Picture quality is very good through a good HDMI cable, editing recordings is very simple and it looks good on the shelf

Well, where do I start. Start-up time is shockingly slow, the instructions book is confusing and vague at the same time, you can't set the record quality if you're recording from digital only in annologue, you can only have a maximum of 12 programs in the recording schedule, menus within menus within menus, to name a few problems, arrrrrr it's frustating. On a good note with a lot of trial and error, having deciphered the instruction book I'm starting to get use to it.
