the design of the set is very good, remote though large is easy to use

Poor picture from any source apart from freeview, even with top quality interconnects. Not seen any hd source pictures yet. suffers badly from image lag. Don't buy

Brilliant picture. Easy to set up. Sound quality is excellent. Great looking, trendy, modern set. I also have a Panasonic plasma but this Samsung LCD is much better and doesn't have that awful plasma "buzzing" sound.

Obvously the styling of the tv is great, appealing to the majority of homes. The picture quality is very good, considering the cheap price. For games and also movies it has great sharp picture you'd expect from Samsung. Overall a decent and worthy televsion viewing in general.

However, as mentioned before by some reviews, moving pictures for sports such as football isn't great, and if you're one that watches football a lot on television then it might not be the greatest buy for that. Up close the quality is pixelated. Sound quality is sacrificed for overall picture quality on this television, so it might be worth getting a separate sound system to match the excellent picture.

Great looking shiny surround, cosmetically fantastic and spacesaving compared to the old hugh backed tv.

As they are so thin and light, they are not made for great sound as there is no room for speakers, best set up with stereo or surround sound system.

Lovely looking and a far better sound from this telly than my previous samsung telly. Good picture also

A brillant picture which stands out against the black surround. Sound quality is very good and it is so easy to use. I recommend it to anyone especially old aged pensioners who find new technology difficult to use as this TV could not be easier to use.

There are no bad points

This TV is the best. When compared to all the surrounding sets. Defined shapes, and colours, the LCD screen is clear, and vibrant. Sound is clear, and precise, whether high or low volume. Very pleased and satisfied with my purchase.

Samsung for me have the best design team on the market, my TV is hanging on my wall in my bedroom and it looks fantastic. The set up couldn't be easier, plug it in, plug in an arial and let the tv do it's thing. Picture qualiy also is very good...carn't wait for my PS3 to arive to test he HD quality. Overall a fantastic bye!!

To hang on the wall i needed to take the base off...it proved be very difficult. Once that was done everthing was great.

The price of the 40 inch Samsung TV went down a week after I bought the 37 inch TV. I would have gone for the bigger TV!!

Clean and modern look. Stylish design with very good range of cable connections. Useful HDMI connection on the side of the panel for occasional games console connection. Swivel base is very useful when viewing from mdifeerent angles.

love the great shiny black design, fits in great with our new polished porcelain floor tiles in the dining room. the controls are easy to use and setting it up was a breeze.

I have not found any, but with hind sight I would have upgraded and made sure it had the ability to connect a USB pen drive so it could be used to display photo's, what a digital picture frame that would be.

Excellent value for money - great picture on standard def and works well with computer. Any limitations are due to the standard def signal rather than the TV. I have read reviews that the sound on the Samsungs not brilliant. I am into Hi Fi but find the Samsung sound perfectly OK for normal watching of TV. If I want higher quality I can always connect it to Hi Fi.

The freeview which is built in is not very good at all on certain channels. On some channels I get a better picture if I put it on normal telly instead. I know its not the cable as our freeview box we had before the telly worked fine.

Very very easy to auto set up . Wall mounting was also very straight forward. Great looking LCD TV.

Great looking, fab picture (once I hooked up the HDMI cables), easy to use controls - the auto set up was a big help (see below), connections intuitive. I'm very happy with itl.

Instruction book is not very logically set out and lacks detail about setting up. - I was almost better off without it.
