Good solid, well made TV stand. Top shelf is made from slightly thicker/stronger glass than the other layers to take the weight of the TV. This is made from toughened glass that has been silk screened printed with a black paint on the under-side of the glass, but looks like black glass from above. Assembly wasn't too bad at all and took approx 20-30 mins to complete - and I'm no DIY expert . I think you'll be very pleased with the finished product. Word of advice about assembly : 1. Make sure you follow the assembly instructions to the letter, as some of the parts look alike but are actually slightly different sizes and should be assembled in the correct order - but each part is identified with a sticker to make this easier. 2. The stand is assembled upside-down and then turned upright when complete - you'll need help to do this as it's quite heavy when assembled. 3. Advise that you assemble the stand on one of the soft foam sheets that come from inside the packaging - this will prevent the top shelf becoming scratched on the floor when you're putting it together.

Found evidence that the plack paint on the under-side of one of the shelves had been slightly scratched during manufacture - this had then been covered over with a black paint pen before being packaged. Although this was slightly visible from underneath the glass during assembly, this 'touch-up' was not visible from above so not really a problem once assembled.

Striking looks

Difficult to hide cables if you place more than one device on a shelf. The cable tidies only work if you place a device centrally on the stand

get dusty real quick. Its almost like a dust magnet. It probably no more than the rest of the items in room to be honest, hoever as it it is black it stands out more. I dust it one a week, with mr sheen anti dustguard which maybe my imagination, but it does seem to work.

I found the stand really easy to put together which was a big plus. It is yet to fall over or fall apart which is expected but also very sturdy so i can relax, i like the 3 different levels because it gives me enough space for my x box and dvd player to be on it along with pads and controllers etc.

There are a few things that irritate me one ebing that the wholes in the back for the wires have like caps on them that always come off when pushing wires through and at the time when my patients is running low lying on the floor pushing wires through i can get pretty uptight about it.

The stand is very stylish and looks very good with the TV on it.

Good size for 42" Plasma, easy to assemble with ample room for the dvd, freeview box, video and more if required.

The dark smoke glass finish lets it down. It attracts the dust and finger marks show very easily. Looks like it needs a clean 5 minutes after cleaning. The clear glass option, unavailable at a reasonable price at the time of my purchase, is a better buy in my opinion.

Very strong and sturdy, easy to assemble (though some parts require two people to line up the screws to the holes), looks good and has lots of room for AV equipment. I have Sky box, Xbox 360 and have an entire shelf free. 42" Plasma fits perfect on the top.
